                                            Pinellas County Young Democrats

In 2011, the Pinellas County Young Democrats were reorganized under the leadership of Shannon Love to become a revitalized young
professional’s organization. In addition to serving as President,
Shannon brings experience as both a campaign organizer and as National Committeewoman for the Florida Young Democrats. Her campaign experience includes managing a State Senate race in Nashua, NH before moving to Concord, NH to serve as the State Senate Field Coordinator for two of New Hampshire's most competitive Senate races. In addition, she has served as an intern on Carl Zimmermann for State House District 48 in Florida as well as for the St. Petersburg Mayoral race for Scott Wagman.
Shannon will share her thoughts on the 2012 races, the efforts of the
Pinellas County Young Democrats as they enter into their second year, the future bench of Pinellas County's Democratic Party, as well as some of her thoughts on what we can do to help get women more engaged in the political process.

On January 17 we lost a beloved member of our organization, Augusta Moldawan. A fixture at all meetings she will be sorely missed. Always smiling, always the devoted Democrat, Augusta was one of a kind. When asked if she needed assistance her pat answer was always “I’m an independent Woman”.  It seems like just yesterday we celebrated her 104th Birthday. Our deepest sympathies go out to Kathy Stevens and her family. Members are asked to gather for her Memorial Service Saturday February 11, 2:00 pm, at the Unitarian Universalist Church, Tarpon Springs.
